We Won Web Design Business of the Year!
A few weeks ago, I announced that Exaltis had been nominated for 2 awards in My Local Awards, for Web Designer of the Year 2026, and for Business Consultancy of the Year. I was genuinely thrilled when I found out.
Guess what? We only went and won!!! Exaltis is officially the North East’s Web Designer of the Year!!
What makes this award special is that it wasn’t decided by a panel of judges sitting in a boardroom somewhere. It was decided by people. Clients, business owners, people I’ve worked with over the years, people who have trusted me with their websites, their Google presence and, in many cases, their livelihoods.
That means more than I can properly put into words.

This Isn’t Really About An Award
When I started Exaltis in 2017, I had no grand plan. I’d been made redundant and needed to figure out what came next.
What started as a way to use my skills and knowledge to support small businesses (and to pay my own bills) gradually became something much bigger.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of business owners. Tradespeople. Therapists. Retailers. Charities. Consultants. People who are brilliant at what they do but often feel completely overwhelmed by websites, SEO, and online marketing.
Most don’t want technical jargon. Most don’t want a sales pitch. Most just want someone to explain things properly and help them get results.
That’s always been my approach. And it still is.
Why This Means So Much
Exaltis isn’t a big agency. When you contact Exaltis, you get me. When you email, I reply. When you have a question, I answer it. If something goes wrong, I’m the one fixing it.
That’s sometimes harder to scale, but it’s also why my clients stay with me. Many have been with me for years, and some have become friends. Knowing that those same people took the time to vote is incredibly humbling.
Thank You
If you voted, thank you. If you’ve ever trusted me with your website, thank you. If you’ve recommended Exaltis to someone else, thank you.
And if you’ve simply followed the journey and cheered me on from the sidelines, thank you too.
Small businesses survive because people support them. This award is proof of that.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got websites to build. Because award or no award, Exaltis is growing, and the work still needs doing. And, if you need help with web design, or getting your business found on Google, please get in touch. I’d love to help you.
